1969 Dodge Monaco 500 Two Door Coupe. This is a very rare and unique factory muscle car with original 440 Super Commando V-8 (375 H.P.) Vehicle is LOADED with...PS, PW, PL, Cruise, Tilt, A/C, Power Bucket Seats (Both) with center console....factory stereo with 8-track. Basically all the options except the "Super Light". Essentially a luxury Hot Rod. The car has been parked and will need complete restoration....but it's ALL there and complete. Ran very strong when it was parked after the door was crunched. (925) 727-9700 Glen, or contact the e-mail address listed.

I don't remember this one, kool car.

The "super commando" wording is used by Plymouth not Dodge.
I wonder if it is a factory L-code (E86) car.

i'll take it.......overpriced for the work it looks to need though.

i'll believe the 440 HP when I see it, a lot of people overstate that on a reg 440

If the seller is using common sense...listing the highlights, then what isn't he telling us. There is no mention of how it runs or drives. Assume the worst. This car is worth $1200-$1700. If someone has deeper pockets then pay more for it and buy it.

Power windows, cruise, tilt, buckets, console, power steering, power disc brakes, cornering lights, fender mounted turn signals, right side view mirror, air, ....... why not the 440 HP? It certainly warrants the possibility, especially in 69 when so many more Full size Dodges and Plymouths had the bigger engines.

It is worth it to the guy who wants one.

Yes, I do see orange and an HP manifold.......

...and no SuperLite? 2-speed wipers?

Just sayin

Alan

sure the engine indicates it might be an HP version.
But the tie pin is from a Plymouth. Who knows if the engine is matching?
Maybe someone swaped a complete Motor from a B-Body in the past?
That is why I thought about the VIN/Fender tag to see what it definetly was from the factory

I see orange valve covers...those could have been painted at any time. Probably just your run of the mill 350HP 440.

"Just a run of the mill 350 HP 440" ......???? Something wrong with that .....???

I tend to be a glass half full guy and believe it to be a L code 440 from what I see.
It would be interesting to know the build date on the car.

It's hard to tell for sure but I don't see headrests .... Perhaps an early car. It's not unusual for a very early build car to be spec'd out with a bunch of options. Some were pilots, some built for regional auto shows and some to draw traffic in a showroom.

No matter what, I think this car would be a worthy project and a joy to own and drive.

Not to mention the "crunched" door that is not pictured. If crunched enough that would mean a door replacement from somewhere.

To think a big Dodge only 20 miles away. Been a long time since I have seen that.
