How much to restore this one?
50k?
Probably more if you have to pay someone.

If you land a solid donor car at a reasonable price, and know how to weld...the largest expense will be your time until you get to the interior...and again a proper donor could save you a bunch of time/money.

I would fix all the rot and attempt to save most of the original paint on the exterior. Showing it as close to "as found" as possible. The body looks solid and straight.

Car deserves to be saved.

I totally agree. Fix the major rust get it running and have fun.
No total resto needed.

Yes its high...but is it really?

How many 2dr Police cars are left out there?

4 to 5k would be more realistic I think.

2500-3500 for quick sale.

I would submit that they been for sale for about 6 months now and the seller has not moved on the price and the cars have not sold. Seller admits that the cruiser trunk and passenger floors are rusty and that the engine is not original on the cruiser. Light bar is also not period correct. I agree that some ambitious police cruiser fan would probably snap them up in the $2.5k-$3.5k range. That is a long way from $7.5k. In the end, the market will determine the price. Various Oregon agencies ran some of the 2Dr sedans until about '70 when they mostly went to 4Dr sedans. The 2Drs tended to be traffic enforcement units, photo of a unit with the correct light bar is attached. Oregon ran this style light bar into the mid 70's, usually moving the bars from retired units to the newer ones.
