i was wondering why bench head rests have unequal length posts when bucket head rests don't. i am in the process of putting bucket head rests on a bench now and they seem to fit. am i not seeing something here as far as the function of them?

Side by side, are they exactly the same shape and pattern or mirror images of each other?
i can only speak for the buckets i have ,but all four posts are identical. when searching the internet for head rest parts i noticed the bench ones were different. the chrome trim is a different shape also. just curious more than anything
