This seems to be a decent looking 69 Vert.....

1969 plymouth sport fury convertable

1969 plymouth sport fury convertable - $10500

1969 Plymouth sport fury convertible up for sale. it has 63000 miles was sitting in barn for 27 years and rarely drove, so many parts have been replaced such as gas tank, water pump, clutch fan, brakes including booster and tires. the paint and top are quite good but there is starting to have rust in some places coming out. interior in pretty good for age but has a few issues such as yellowing of the plastics and driver seat has a thread separation in one area.

would consider trade for a rat rod or truck pre '59
. possible harley or camper

serious buyers only i dont have time nor desire to mess around with lookers and tire kickers.

How many have you ever ever seen?

MANY MANY !!!! I've owed one since 1976 and always was scoping them out since as knowing they were a quite rare / limited quantity produced car. I never saw a slant 6, only saw one 440 Vert and several 440 coupes as far as Sport Furys and when I literately stumbled across the one I have now I did not waste any time grabbing it especially being a 383-4 loaded and blue with a white top. However I am not totally crazy with the blue interior

pluses : nice color
mostly original (including quarters)
most likely a big block
hard to find trim is present
spring special trim around grille

minuses : missing rear wheel well trim
stripe in the wrong location
claim of rust poking through
grille trim dented
possibly dented rear bumper
yellowed interior
for anyone interested this car bears eyeballs on it. it presents as one of the nicest and most unmolested i've seen for sale. offer $8K and drive it home.

As far as the missing rear wheel trim,
I'm thinking it may be a skirted car...

The question was aimed at how many S F convertibles with factory 440s. So, 1 is the answer I presume. Mine was a 383-2 car, buckets and buddy. At the same time I was pounding the streets with that there was one the same color but with console and 440. Back then[91] I never thought to see if it was original.
When I was scouring the net and magazines in 98/99 for my C body re entry car I was led to a 69 S F convertible, bronze with white interior. A 383-4 car in , if memory serves, Colorado. A lot of options on that car but everything needed to be restored. The seller sent me a VHS video of it.
I wanted it, still do but I'm glad I didn't buy it

I have documented three 1969 Sport Fury, L code, 440 HP convertibles in 30 years of searching for them. The 383 HP cars are rare as well.

This car looks nice, perfect car to enjoy and drive!

You do know the history of your car, right?

That Bronze car must have been absolutely gorgeous !!! Back in the mid to late 70's I kid in my neck of the woods had a Bronze / white interior / white roof Fury III Vert loaded with options with a 383 2 barrel To this day that was the best Fury III Vert I have personally seen. No idea where it is now ....

I don't see an engine displacement mentioned

I personally find any fuselage C body in Bronze or Aztec gold with a white interior, when both are immaculate, to be my favorite color combination. One of my 1971 300s will be that combination (or maybe two of them!).
