1970 Chrysler 300 | eBay

One owner has been sitting in a garage since 1985. Doesn’t run engine turns over, haven’t tried to get it started. Car is being sold as is.

Current bid $1691

Thank you for posting, let us hope that CM27T0C226256 goes to a good home. If the fender tag could show up, that'd be great -- many options on this car!

Judging from the corrosion and streaking on the chrome it looks like is was probably stored a leaky shed or something. That is unusual looking corrosion.

It will be interesting to watch this one. Hopefully someone on the site gets it and does a thread on it. This could be a super sharp looking car.

About 40 minutes from my house, I'm leaving for Clifton now to drop off chairs for reupholstrey. Would like to have this one.

@71Polara383 came through and got the tag! This black 300 ‘vert car was originally FT6. It is IMHO unfortunate that it was repainted in an incorrect color. Regardless, fingers crossed that it gets treated well from now on.

Looks like it was stored in a corrosive environment. I'd guess that waste water dripped onto the deck lid from leaking pipes above...

Y’all don’t understand. This is New Jersey, the whole state is a corrosive environment, lol. I think the repaint has a lot to do with the corrosion. Too bad it’s been repainted, but it looks like a very solid car for the region it lives in. My guess is this will end some where south of $12k, and it will be worth every penny.

Nice! Did you ever post the tag of that car/history in the Last Convertibles thread?
Sorry, no, I did not get the owner‘s permission, but I can tell you it is a Canadian car, no air (of course), original except for one repaint, and April 30 SPD. Low milage and it drives like a dream!

Shame it’s not a real TX9 car, I did Bid on it though, gonna wait to see where it ends up day before auction ends before I make my mind up.. it may be out of price range. We’ll see.

This always amazes me. I don't know if this car ever sold or not, but at $15k, it was a bargain.

For Sale - 1970 300 convertible
For Sale - 1970 300 vert again

So, for a little over double the eBay car, that needs everything, you could buy a driving, rust free car. Even if you did the work yourself, the eBay car would cost you more to get it to a finished stage than Howard's car. No one seemed interested in that car, yet this project seems to be going for more than it's worth. :BangHead:

Somebody will wind up spending a minimum 10K to $15K to get this $2500 convertible back to original condition.
The U Code @Big_John mentions was a better deal.
