Well it sold, sad to say it’s going to France.
Congratz......how long did you have it for sale .......2-3 years?
1.5 years, sad nobody in the US would step up.
Those Europeans love them some American Cars.. she’ll be well cared for I’m sure.. I’ll lived in Naples Italy for about 4 yrs, and every stateside car I saw was loved..
Congratulations on the sale. Do you feel that the result of the Mecum auction car had an impact...or was it already a done deal by then?
No I sold it before the auction went off. I don’t think anyone in their right mind would pay 66 grand
I always said the first person that actually came out to see the car would buy it. The whole time I had it for sale nobody came out to look at it. People would just call and text stupid offers. This gentlemen from France sent an independent inspector to inspect it. He took about 1000 digital pictures Of the car. I’m serious. He took 20 pictures of the dash. He crawled under it, in the engine bay, in the trunk. 3 hours later he left, and I got my asking price. I really felt it was a prime example of a 300 hurst with exception to my brother in laws, his is rotesserie restored. Oh well now I’m looking for my sport fury gt.
Congratulations on the sale. Sounds like that inspector was very thorough. Maybe you could post his contact info here for any member here who might need his service. I've heard many horror stories of inspectors not doing a proper job.
I will get his number from the buyer. He lives in Michigan so anyone looking at a car out here could use him
I know you said you got your asking price. How did it fare compared to market value? Some cars are higher and lower, yours looks like it was in really nice shape.
I think I got what the car was worth. Hard to compare it to, I felt like mine was higher on the chain as far as paint, interior, and underbody. It is a really clean and solid above average driver.
Could you text me a link or info in your brothers car?

Where is the original link in the for sale section here on FCBO?
I couldn’t find it it was on here a long time ago. It’s still on carsonline.com
Congratulations on selling the car. I've looked at some cars for a member here, and I thought 350 pictures was a lot! It is very surprising to people that one would take so many pictures, but if your 4,000 miles away, they are all you have to go on. I've got to step up my game! Funny. Good luck on your Fury!
Don't know if this is the original, but is first one I found. Dga26 may want to mark the ad(s) sold.
Duh... forgot the link, may not be the original sale, (eBay Link) one post sez it's his brothers car.
For Sale - 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst Rotesserie Restored
Two brothers, two Hursts.
How cool is that.
I hate seeing them leave the country, but only because I know I won't get to see them after that. So long as the cars are preserved and loved, I don't suppose it matters where they go. Funny to me how many will pay so much more for a DD, of course I love Formals and cheap drivers... so most folks think I'm nuts.
