Note, that there is no single claim in the ad of the Autotemp 1 working.

Truly a nice looking car. It was on sale last year in OH for $16K on Hemmings, by the same source that Fiore Motor Classics purchased it from, I suppose.

The only thing that I find hard to believe is the claimed mileage. If the old lady made her yearly trip from FL to OH and back every year from 1970, and went on to, say until 1990, wouldn’t it show more than 100K? Therfore, 137K miles is my bet. But it is still nice. It was obviously always pampered.

In the ad it says everything inside works, except the clock, and it just says "on several occasions" she would venture on up to Ohio. But yeah, they make it sound like Lulu Belle just went down the street and back for 25 years. Nice car.

$10 Grand....only because of the of the pix's underneath. Interior pix's?

I realize it's 47 years old, but in the underside pic those look like 137k leafsprings to me. The car isn't sagging, but they are curling upward at the shackle. And that bushing is almost gone.

True, but the innerleaf bushings sure look thin, is that normal for 37k? Most every car I've bought has way over 100k, and that's how my springs would look.

Agreed, but I can not discount the claim . The painted gas tank upsets me more, way more.

Given how long the car sat without being driven and where it sat, it wouldn't surprise me if the gas tank has been replaced and maybe painted before installing. The springs don't look as bad as the leafs that I have seen on over 100K miles cars. What does surprise me about that car is while it is heavily optioned, e.g. autotemp, it seems to have drum brakes judging from the master cylinder and the lack of the lettering in the center of the stainless trim overlay on the brake pedal that would say "power disc brakes" if they were present. I would be inclined to replace the auto temp with a manual a/c system and install disc brakes if I bought it. Beautiful car though. But I prefer the 1971 models.

This is intriguing:
Yes, it is expensive. It would be north of 27K with taxes over here.
And the more I look at those photos, the more it seems to me that it was repainted in lighter color than it originally was. The photos of the trunk and the engine bay would seem to suggest that it was originally either R6 (dark red metallic) or even R8 (maroon metallic ).

I'm thinking the trunk floor got painted with red POR-15. . .

First off I like the car but... don't believe the mileage at all. Seen many what appears to be low mileage posted up here that ain't in my opinion.
Now it appears that this is a well kept car with I believe mostly highway miles but has way too much road grime for 37k miles. Look closely at the door jam area and engine bay. Fresh painted valve covers are a give away (look at the bolts) Air cleaner cleaned/painted?
1985 Sears tire sticker has numbers added to mileage in different pen, why? 1970 to 1985 would equal to 150k miles at 10k miles per year so 137k is in the ballpark for the mileage.
Also Fiore Motor Classics rang a bell in my mind as in other forums that I've read and sure enough with a quick search found some recent negative reviews.
Notice that there is no close up shot of the odometer. Any claim of a below 100k mileage car the numbers have to line up perfect, if they don't it's gone around. From what I can see in the Hemmings photos (angle shot) the two 7's not in perfect alignment leads me to believe the true mileage is 137k. Just my opinion from being a fleet car/light truck mechanic for over 40 years.
:soapbox:

Regardless of mileage I like it. I've slowly be gaining an appreciation for the C body's lately... of course everything I like is more then I can afford however.
