I'm considering this one just because it's close enough for me to drive down and drive it back.
Is this car worth 2000?
Original paint gB2 L3x9
Not a lot of options. h51 r13 L31 841 g11 That's it.

Absoooolutly worth it...
\Rip of the vinyl and paint the top..
Good to go.... :D:D:D

He just won't budge off the 2500.
Having a hard time with that. It bothers me that I have seen so many fairly nice paint cars for 2500.
They all have hidden rust though. This being a Nebraska car, the only rust is what you can see most likely.
I have had many of the dirt land cars of the Rocky Mountain front range. They are in pretty well preserved conditions, metal wise.

Can you get that bucket seat upholstery anymore?

I would assume not. But I'm curious. Anyone know?

SMS does. Hope that CL43L1C206062 end up in good hands -- the car looks solid (thought I'd check the underside -- cue the lower front fenders) and even the driver's armrest and the washer bottle is in good condition (why the sun visor fell off is unclear, thought). I'd put a vinyl top back on after painting the top underneath. Here is the tag for records:

Tag is almost unreadable.

On upper left line of the tag there is an 841. What does that designate?

1969-1971 fender tags from East Jefferson have a sales code for the brakes in that position. So most likely it reads B41 "Power Disk Brakes - Front".

Thank you. That makes sense. I'm just not really used to the C body tags. Still learning, I'm sure for many years.
Why would the B designation be all the way up next to the R code?
I'm assuming it is just something that the Jefferson plant did for the brakes sales code specifically or ?

Is that going to be all Jefferson cars? Or just the fusie's?

Correct. Whereas Belvidere and Newark tags list the sales codes in alphabetical order, East Jefferson has fixed positions for them. If a certain sales code is not applicable, an East Jefferson tag shows a blank. Belvidere and Newark tags don't have blanks.

Is that going to be all Jefferson cars? Or just the fusie's?

Generally, from 1972 on the C-body fender tags don't show a sales code for the brakes. "Weird" exceptions do occur:

I've no idea what B64 stands for. "4-Wheel Sure-Brake w/Anti-Skid Control" maybe?

Yep, Anti-Skid Control. It already surfaced in the 69-73 pictures thread. Apparently, it was not a 71-only option:

This pic also explains the position of the B64 code on the tag. In that year, the B41 code was still shown, so it had to go somewhere else.

If you live close: I would jump on it and just have some fun without throwing much money in it.

I'm buying it. Specifically because it is close, it runs, its cheap and I need a C barge to float around in. I'm obviously looking for a nice car to drive, but in the mean time I'm sure this will eat a few of my dollars.

The trans is rebuilt so it should have no issue driving home.
Just can't seem to find anyone who wants to drive 16 hours in one day with me.
I might have to pick up a trailer and tow the thing.

Funny thing, I called uhaul and they said I can't tow the car using my truck. I changed the truck on the trailer application to a larger truck and it accepted the New Yorker wheel base.
So, my truck is 142 wheel base and would not fit. I could fit about 138 wheel base on a uhaul trailer, 7500 lb trailer. The New Yorker is 124 wheel base so it fits.
