Not mine. @71Polara383 told me about its being advertised on FB. Very nice car IMO -- I like the GT8 brown, and the E2L2 beige vinyl interior goes well with it. The S61 adjustable steering is a plus. The engine is the original 383-2; a new dual exhaust was installed two years ago to replace the original single exhaust (at the same time the owner replaced all belts, hoses, tires, etc.).

This car is being sold by the son of the original owner, who said his father ordered it new in Ventura, CA with low gears and SureGrip to go with the trailer towing package. From the photos he sent me, the paint is original and in good condition and the car has no rust (except maybe a few bubbles under the somewhat faded V1T vinyl top, below the rear window -- see attached pic). The front grille is missing a couple of trim pieces, but they can be found online (I know, I found them). The car was ziebarted when new.

The interior seems in pretty good condition, with a small seam tear of the bottom of the driver's seat. Everything is said to work, including the power locks and the rimblow horn (despite two cracks on the steering wheel rim -- see attached pic), but the A/C needs a new compressor.

The seller is IMHO responsive and straightforward. After debating for a good two weeks whether to get the car, I have finally decided to pass. If it had had a 383-4, I'd have bought it.

Car appears decent and the upgrade to a 4BBL is an easy fix if desired. Already has the dual exhaust upgrade. At $6k the car is at the top end of the price range for its condition. If I were interested I would offer $5.2k and explain to the seller that there is an $800 deduct for non-functioning A/C with a dead compressor.

Going to a high stall torque converter would make the car much more responsive than going to a 4 bbl set up, although both would be ideal.

How many miles are on it?

The car is still for sale. I like it but it won't be mine. Here are additional pictures that have just been posted, for records.

The price is now down to $5.5k, a level to which the seller indicated he was amenable when I talked to him last month.

FWIW, and from what I have seen, this is a really nice car -- and there is full history. In many respects, it reminds me of @cbarge's Maggie May, especially as seen in these pictures after Lea cleaned her up. One difference is that the NYer can be driven as it is, as it was gone through thoroughly a couple of years back -- whereas the Fury had been sitting and needed @cbarge's expert touch. Only a new vinyl roof will be needed at some point, with some bubbles on the driver's side (near the rear window) needing fixing at that time.
