the 1971 Sport Fury in EV2 orange gets slowly ready for the road.
It is supposed to be driven by my girlfriend.
It was parked since 1989 in a barn.
It made its first 25 Mile trip last week without breaking down which was more than we expected.
We had to put in a lot of work and money to get it back on the road.

It has 75% original paint, and is pretty much untouched

Here are a few pics:

I like this photo with an ugly modern car in the background.
Look at the proportions between those two cars.
I know which one I prefer for sure

Nice car! Orange works well on it. Does the girlfriend not want to drive it or is it just not ready to be driven daily?

She wants to drive it but the Fury is yet not completly ready.
Some missing parts are on the way (trim for the rearwindow, different rearbumper) and some technical stuff needs to be addressed, test driven again and when it is reliable it can be taken into regular use

Nice....Lucky Tina :icon_cool:.
You gonna fix the red GT also ?

we will take care of the GT when the orange Fury is finished

My buddy Elmaro (chief mechanic of the local Camaroshop) is happy that the Fury ran without major problems

Ha, great picture! He even looks like a Camaro mechanic!

Hey Carsten,

Cool car!
I have a 1970 Plymouth Sport Fury in Scorch Red with a white interior, also 383 but a bit more performance.
My grill is from a '71 but already found an original 1970, it's still in Seattle though waiting for me to pick it up...
I love your interior man! Centre console?

Keep it rolling!

Hi Willem,

it has buckets seats but a center fold downarmrest. No console.

Your Fury is nice saw it quiet a few times when it was down in Limburg, NL and at the german Mopar Nats.
I might have an extra 1970 Sport Fury grill, too somewhere

Carsten

Yeah man, that's him, bought this car a month ago and drove it to the mideast of Holland ;)
Wish I knew about your grill before, already bought it in the US, only problem now is transport...it's with a good friend so...
Do you own more Sport Fury's? One of my favorite models man, drove it's big sister, a '69 300 for 15 years as a daily driver....
The size of this one is just a little better to handle and still full-size!

here is a nice picture when it got trailered by a Chevy Suburban.
I love the look of the lines (long hood, long deck, low&wide).
The Chevy looks very boxy compared to it
