Asking 3k.(at least it’s not overpriced)
From the ad,
1971 dodge polara 500 custom this car runs and drives it is a project car and has some minor rust. Car has a 440 ci engine that is rebuilt and a 727 3 speed auto with a B+M floor shifter. Contact by email or text five one 8, six five 1, seven one seven 2.

Here are some pics of the engine bay and interior, for records. Poor car.

at least its in NY State near enough the "Fleet HQ" to make transport economical.

alas, however, i cannot save it though I do want to (and if I were a decade younger would have tried) .

Hope it finds a good home -- provided it otherwise has "good bones".

The engine is not original. It used to have a 383-2 before the 440 transplant, if memory serves (from 3 weeks ago). I passed.

Great info ayilar -- thanks.

easily remedied for me boss. i have a dozen or so mills at "Fleet HQ" on racks .. i'd drop one of my '71 cop E86 powertrains in it and party on -- I believe tho I have a '71 cop 383, dialed up we had on the stand early 2018 (i test run running/rebuilt mills every couple of years)

Again tho, what it would take to make this car respectable comes outta the "amazinblue82 benevolent bus fund" .. so i cant get there from here on this one. :)[/QUOTE]

This is what would have become of the Brougham if I didnt make my way to this site. Thanks guys. You fixed my flawed view of what I thought a Polara should be. Except I'd never use a cowl induction style scoop.

:BangHead:
Somewhere there is a Chevy missing its L-88 hood scoop and an A body missing its go wing. The underhood wiring is a rat's nest. I hope this guy finds another hobby so no other cars get harmed in the process.
