The owner of this very nice 4dr post sedan was at Carlisle last year. He is now selling it on FB. From the ad:

"Car has a 383 with 727 automatic transmission. P/S, manual drum brakes. They are excellent however. Car is A/C delete. Car has been garage kept all of its life. Not rust on this one. Just get in, turn the key and go. Car has original blue interior. 3rd owner, first in NJ. Clean NJ title (...) More photos and info available on request."

I am all for original wheel covers, but with its shiny repaint (original color is GB7 -- "Dark Blue" in Dodge parlance) and trim-free sides, I would be temped to mount smoothie wheels on this Polara Custom.

The last two pics are at Carlisle 2020 -- one can see @LocuMob's green Cicada in the background.

Grandpa’s car!
My grandparents were from the generation where a/c was an obscene luxury! They raised families through the Great Depression.
One granddad never owned a car with p.s. or p.b. much less a/c. He did however like an auto trans cause he thought those pushbuttons were the cat’s meow!
The other granddad’s last two Impalas had a/c but grandma seemed embarrassed and always felt she had to explain, “but it was the only car on the lot in my color!”
We've come a long way in two generations!

Here are some more pictures three of the interior. The dash is very well preserved, as are both the front and rear benches. The other two pics show the smooth metal and paint around the rear window.

If I were buying, I might replace the carpets (maybe, to match the shiny exterior) and install different wheels/tires. Regardless of the lack of A/C, this car is tempting.

PS: wonder about the button under the dash.

Sorry Ayilar I disagree with your argument about the wheels and tires, I would keep it as is and I think A/C is more tempting. However I would replace the carpet as you said though, that's it

I am usually a big fan of original: it is one of the reasons why Poppy, my ER6 red 1970 Polara 'vert that you saw at Carlisle, still has her original wheel covers. In the specific case of this blue sedan, though, the side mouldings and Polara Custom emblems have been removed for a smooth look -- so my thought was that wider smoothies would finish the "smooth look."

No matter what, this car looks great.
