Hello everyone, I just thought I would show some pictures of my 71 Fury GT that I bought last year. First, I will quickly introduce myself - my name is Rob Thomas and I live in the Las Vegas area. A couple of years ago I bought a 65 fury convertible and as I did research on the Furys, I slowly gravitated toward the Fuselage style Furys. For some reason, I am crazy about these. I seem to always be on the hunt for them and it is driving my wife crazy. When I brought my GT home my wife said, "It looks like an ugly 70's car from a bad 70's movie." Most all of you are familiar with this car as I have seen pictures of it pop up from time to time. The color is GY9 - which I have mixed feelings about - but it is a GT. Here are the most recent pictures of it:
Nice!!!! Did/do you find/have the build sheet..... Did Lewis knew the history of the GT....? I talked to him but can,t remember....
saw it a few times at MATS. Please take good care of it. I am a stranger I would leave the original paint as is. It is original only once. Carsten
Super cool car, GY9 one of my favourite colours I would just clean it up and install an new vinyl roof and new interior and drive it.
In all seriousness congratulations on getting your '71 GT, nice score. I like the color on it, best of luck with it
It seems like quite a few GT's are popping up on the board here lately, first it was Ben's '71 promo car then it was Charles' green '70 and now it's this one. I love it, I'm in GT Heaven over here! Keep em comin fellas
and....How did you find out it was for sale or did you have to put your name on a list? most of these unusual cars are known to only a few select, am I correct?
I was there and remember seeing it. Can't remember the asking price but it was pretty high at the time.
