FB Description

1972 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham 440 V8, 4bbl carb 727 3spd auto 8.75 rear end, 2.76:1 rear gears Power Steering Power Brakes, front disc Power Locks Power Windows Factory Paint Newer Top Factory Interior When I bough this car it had been sitting for a LONG time. Dropped the fuel tank, flushed it out, fixed the power window motors, radio, and few other things. I've put 20,000 miles on this car, many on the highway driving down to Florida or up to New England. It is a fantasic land barge. I'm selling it, because I bought a replacement land barge, and there isn't enough room for this big beauty in the garage anymore and it really deserves it own garage space. The car comes with both styles of wheel covers you see in the pictures. The Good: A/C blows ice cold. I retrofitted it to R134a last spring. It has been holding a charge fine so far. New heater coolant control valve. Power windows all work. Some can be finicky, but they never never stick down. Power locks all work. Car has new Edelbrock/Carter AFB carburetor, runs great. New U Joints a few weeks ago. Seats are in very good shape with the exception of the driverside headrest has some sun/water damage. Paint is all original I believe, no hidden rust, or damage. Original AM radio works, just needed a new speaker. The aluminum foil you see around the plug wire is to better isolate the radio from ignition noise. Factory gauges all work well. New Alternator and Voltage Regulator. New Electronic Ignition Module. New Power steering pump. Car handles and goes down the freeway very nice. Bumpers far, no damage, but chrome is showing some wear. Stainless brightwork is very good. Car stops and handles nice. Tires are only a few months old. The under carriage is pretty clean and everything is rock solid. The car was sold new in Virginia, and was purchased by an older man in Michigan in the 90s where it sat for many many years. I purchased it from his sons shortly after he passed away. The Bad: There are a few small dents. The biggest one in the pass rear door. There are some rust holes on the lower passenger quarter and fender. I was repacking the front wheel bearings recently and saw that the front brake pads will need to be replaced soon. I think one of the side marker blubs is out. And the carpet looks like crap. But, at least it will be easy for you to inspect the condition of the floor pans. There is a crack on the pass side of the windshield. The driver side motor mount should be replaced as well. When I bought the car yrs ago I wrapped a metal cable around it with clamps and it has worked fine. Do not get the cheap autoparts store ones, they will only break again. Mancini carries a good one. Youtube Video: I will not sell any parts off the car, please do not ask. This is a nice car, and deserves a good home. $5,000
