Civilian shocks, civilian tires, 440 cubic inch...but no cop car options. Nice car, but sadly not what it's claimed to be. VIN number CL41T2c257723.

Id check that motor i bet its a 400 with a 440 air cleaner

I agree, worth a phone call to inquire about the claim.

Picture of a CERTIFIED speedometer would be ONE way to verify it, other than the data plate.

MIGHT have been a small-town "pursuit" vehicle that was purchased with regular options which approximated the "pursuit" equipment that "the chief" would drive? Without any attempt to scab-into a State Bid lot for law enforcement vehicles? Might a "real" optioned law enforcement vehicle have had a few additional wiring harnesses (and L-N alternator) to support any add-on police equipment?

Otherwise, a nice car with some desired options. Ordered in a two-tone paint color approximating a real law enforcement vehicle of the area?

Were the rear bumper guards the same as the '73 items? An option that looks kind of out of place on a '72, to me.
