440, power windows, cruise, cornering lights, triple black, correct road wheels? If the car is solid, this could be a no-brainer for someone who wants a ‘72. Be ready to spend $3k reupholstering the seats and replacing the top (edit: on top of the front end work).

Yeah, how would you even go about fixing up the gaping hole in the front end?
Front fender extenders can be found. Same for the rears -- I have two on a shelf just in case something ever happens to one of my 1970 Polaras.

There's a few grand of work obviously as pointed out -- perhaps even on the ragged edge of the "value out vs. investment in" equation as I near "orange money" age.

But, if I were 10 years younger (and IF its got good bones), i'd do it in the blink of any eye. it'd been something special when brought back. wont be many like it thats for sure.

hope it finds a good home

Good info ayilar and blue82. I hadn't noticed that the front damage didn't run past the fender extenders. Wish there were better photos concerning any rust or how it looks underneath.

I’m digg’en those deck mounted speakers.. lol, brings back high school car memories..
I thought about adding their removal to the restoration tab, but left it off for a reason along those lines -- part of the car's history.

Still sitting on the flipper's trailer. . . I see a suds bucket. I know there is a hose somewhere close by.

Is he a flipper? Have we known of this car before?

I'm only suggesting the guy is a flipper. He puts that ad out with photos upon arriving home from the estate sale where he bought it - even before he gets the car off the trailer, and it looks like he is getting ready to wash it or hose it down. The presence of a hose is often another flipper indicator. . . The bucket is a definite hose precursor.

I agree he's flipping it but without him I'd have never seen it.
With much of the dust still on the car I presume he is only showing shiny paint.

I gotta tell ya Ray, if this was driving distance for me I'd be there already. The only way I'd be in with Shipping is if it were a 71. If it were, It would be on its way by now. Gotta have cars I don't mind being upside down on .

Shipping should be max 1.5k from there to the PNW. Ergo, this is not a gotta have car for you. :)

That car is tempting to me. The front plastic valence is the impossible part - it looks destroyed and what to do to replace it - they stopped existing more than 20 years ago in any semblance of good condition?

i hear ya chief

if it was a flatbed trip (<100 miles) from my warehouse i'd a tried for it at $2500 "as is" .. only caveat being good metal undersides.

not cuz i need it but i know i would save it .. at least save it - dry, indoors, for years if necessary - for the next caretaker
