With a driver seat that soiled and the door panel around the pull handle soiled as well, you would be ill-advised to believe it. He is just stating what the 5 digit odometer reads.
I like it. Another Pennsylvania Imperial. I would want to replace seats with leather. Spinnaker White leather would spruce up the interior after a good cleaning.
I don't know Steve. Did you notice the steering column? Look at the cruise control and some of the dials/gauges, they don't have any wear at all. But that seat has had.....well you know. I sure hate that color, the Chrysler dealer in town here has the same color same year and they'd like to sell it!
Detail guys can do wonders, I just enlarged the driver door and can seen wear discoloration on armrest... more to come Notify Matt, POWER VENTS! Has Auto Temp II Yea not a lot of pictures to go on but, Awful lot of key rash by ignition switch, grimy hand prints on horn pad too. Maybe he kept the car in garage covered in blankets (I've seen that) and just sat in car pretending to drive somewhere...
Leather would be nice, but after paying say 8000, new upholstery would be what - 4-5000??? I like the color as its identical to my former 1978 Lincoln Town Coupe. That car had leather, but i like the look of this cloth. Go for it doc, you could fly out and drive her home.
I don't know Bob. If that car really only has 4K miles, the owner was certainly a pig! I do agree with you on the color though, as tawny gold is the worst color ever invented for a car to my eyes. I only bought the 71 Imperial I have in that color because it really is low miles and a 2 door in great shape.
True. But, I wonder if a parts car seller like a Murray Park or a CL seller would charge 4-5K for used leather seats back and front? seems high...it hasn't come up yet for me though. 3 Labradors and cloth is a complete disaster. And they go with me everywhere.
Robert, Please provide me more info about your local Chrysler dealer or the car that you have quoted that they have. If it is another 72 Imperial, I would certainly be interested along with Mike from Minnesota!!!!
I am always looking for the right fit...I have an eye on a red 73 coupe...those 2 doors are gorgeous in person. The one thing I noticed that I don't like is sitting lower in Imperial bucket seats than my 4 dr bench seats by it seems 2+ inches.
Yes...However, I feel like I want to sit on a telephone book to see down the hood...and i'm not short.
