1973 318LA Engine, Low fuel pressure.

-Have replaced fuel pump after sitting for 10 years, old fuel pump was not working and the new one seems to not work well either.
-Tested Flow from both a gas can and the tank, same low trickle
-Replaced Fuel filter

How do I know if my eccentric is bad or the fuel pump is bad? Maybe something else is the issue? Is there a chance I installed the fuel pump incorrectly?

Disconnect the inlet hose to the fuel pump and put the hose in a container of gas. If it pumps nice and strong, then you might have a blockage somewhere. It could be the line from the fuel tank or maybe the screen on the pickup is clogged.

Plus, how old are the rubber line sections of the fuel line, between the tank sending unit and the fuel filter?
