Rear seat is not the same. You'll need to use some muscle to push the seat cushion (bottom) toward the rear of the car, to disengage it from its "hooks" in the floor pan. Once clear, it will pop up a bit and can then be removed. Sometimes, it's necessary to push down as you push back in one motion.
The person must position themself to straddle the driveshaft hump in the rear floor, facing the rear bumper, which works better as it takes a unified push rearward on both sides of the seat at the same time.
With the rear cushion out of the car, then getting the "lean back" cushion out is easier. Two bolts hold the bottom hooks to the body. Take them out and gently push upward on the cushion assy, to get it disengaged from the upper hooks that help hold it in place. Due to time, age, and heat cycles, it might be stuck, so ease and discretion is advised. When it pops free, just remove it from the car.
Reverse to install both items, top first, then the bottom cushion.
Removing the seats for reupholstering or other issues?
Being it is a New Yorker, also check for the wiring plug-in under the driver's side for the power seat wiring, if equipped.
Take care,
