1973 dodge polara ex police car, 360 auto with A/C. Runs drives and stops. Could use rear shocks as there very squeaky, dual exhaust sounds very nice hood rumble. Pretty solid for what it is. $3500 obo clean title

Notwithstanding the rust bubbling under the paint in a couple of places (round the wheel openings and in the lower rear quarters), I am interested as long as it is a true DK car and it is not rotten. I reached out over lunch break, and the seller was very helpful. After we talked, he sent me high-res photos and a short video that he had on his phone (he is at work). FWIW, the interior looks pretty good; the car has been repainted but the clear coat is shot and so a repaint (with body work to fix the rust) would be in order if I got the car.

The main question for me at this stage is what the tag says. It was previously owned by a guy who does cop car repros, so I have my doubts -- the interior and the speedo both say DM, the steering wheel says DK.

I looked at the photos this morning minutes after posted here. Unlike my immediate determination on the Washington car this car says tampered with and is all but guaranteed to not have a police heritage of any kind. The only connections are its a sedan and someone bolted some police accessories on.
I hope I'm wrong for your sake.

That is aggravating, now knowing he put the spotlight and steering wheel on gives up and sells, Why? You ( seller) couldn't have left it alone?

The seller is not the one who made the changes. He bought several fusies from one person, and the car looked like this when he bought it. As I said, the seller seems honest and like a straight shooter. I am talking to him still about another Dodge he has.
