This JF8 (Forest Green Metallic) NYB with J3L3 split-back bench cloth-and-vinyl interior is for sale on eBay: 1973 Chrysler New Yorker | eBay

Here are a few photos for records. No fender tag, but the VIN is listed as CS23T3C153703 -- nice color combo (green with beige interior and top), but it has H53 ATC unfortunately.

Text from the ad (minor edits by yours truly for readability). If the seller is truthful (and I have no reason to believe otherwise), this is a nice car:

CAR RETAINS ITS FACTORY 440CI ENGINE AND FACTORY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THIS CAR WAS ALSO EQUIPPED WITH FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING. THIS CAR ONLY HAS 54,000 MILES AND I HAVE NO REASON TO BELIEVE IT NOT TO BE TRUE. IT STARTS RIGHT UP EVERYTIME WITHOUT FAIL. THE ENGINE HAS A DEEP BOLD SOUND, AND THERE ARE NO FUNNY NOISES OF ANY KIND. THERE IS NO SMOKING AND, ALTHOUGH I WOULD FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE, THERE IS NO LEAKING OR SEEPING OF FLUIDS; THERE IS NONE VISIBLE. I ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK. THE BRAKES ARE HIGH AND STOP THE VEHICLE VERY WELL. ALL THE LITES WORK INCLUDING THE FRONT FENDER TURN SIGNALS. THE AIR IS ALL THERE AND NOT BLOWING COLD, AS I DO NOT THINK IT WOULD TAKE MUCH TO GET IT OPERATING. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTH AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY ISSUES. THERE ARE NOT ANY SUSPENSION ISSUES AS IT STEERS STRAIGHT AND HANDLES THE BUMPS WELL.

THE PAINT IS ORIGINAL AND HAS NOT BEEN REPAINTED. AND ALTHOUGH IT'S HELD UP WELL, IT IS NOT PERFECT. THE PRIOR OWNERS HAVE OBVIOUSLY CARED FOR THE CAR BECAUSE OF ITS ORIGINALITY. FROM A COUPLE FEET AWAY IT LOOKS PERFECT, BUT UP CLOSE YOU CAN SEE SOME IMPERFECTIONS. MOSTLY THE DRIVER'S REAR QUARTER PANEL AS IT SHOWS SOME FLAKING. THE VINYL TOP ALSO LOOKS PERFECT FROM A COUPLE FEET AWAY BUT AS YOU GET CLOSE TO IT YOU DO SEE SOME INPERFECTIONS. THE FRONT BUMPER IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE AND THE REAR BUMPERIS IN GOOD SHAPE. THE REAR BUMPER HAS SOME SMALL PITTING WHILE THE FRONT BUMPER HAS MINIMAL PITTING. THERE IS A LOT OF STAINLESS TRIM PIECES ON THIS CAR AND IT'S NOT ONLY ALL THERE, BUT ITS ALL IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. EVEN THE ORIGINAL HUB CAPS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. ALL THE RUBBER IS IN GREAT SHAPE AS WELL.

THE INTERIOR OF THIS CAR IS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL RIGHT DOWN TO THE ORIGINAL FRONT CHRYSLER FLOOR MATS. WHILE THE SEATS ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION THERE ARE 3 AREAS THAT WILL NEED ATTENTION. THEY DO NOT NEED TO BE RECOVERED. AS YOU CAN SEE CLEARLY ON THE PICTURES, THERE ARE 2 SMALL SPLITS ON THE BACK PART OF THE DRIVERS SEAT AND ONE ON THE BACK PART OF THE PASSENGER SEAT. AN UPHOLSTERY SHOP CAN EASILY REPAIR THESE. THE CARPET DOES NOT HAVE ANY RIPS OR TEARS. THE REAR SEAT IS ALSO FREE OF ANY RIPS OR TEARS. THE HEADLINER IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE AND IS NOT SAGGING AT ALL. THE DASH PAD AND DASHBOARD DO NOT HAVE ANY CRACKS AND IS NOT DISCOLORED. THIS CAR WAS EQUIPPED WITH A POWER DRIVERS SEAT AND IT STILL WORKS IN ALL FUNCTIONS. THERE ARE ALSO POWER WINDOWS AND ALL OF THEM WORK EXCEPT THE PASSENGER FRONT WINDOW. I BELIEVE IT'S A REGULATOR PROBLEM AS YOU CAN HEAR THE MOTOR RUN WHEN YOU PRESS THE SWITCH. THE DASH LITES AND INTERIOR LITES WORK. THE FACTORY AM\FM RADIO AND 8 TRACK PLAYER WORK AND WORK WELL. THE 8 TRACKS IN THE PICTURE ARE INCLUDED, AS WELL AS THE ORIGINAL SALES BROCHURE. THE WIPERS WORK AS WELL AS THE HEAT.

THIS IS NOT SOME RUST BUCKET, THAT IS ALL ROTTED OUT. THE TRUNK IS NEAR PERFECT. THE FLOORS: WHILE THEY HAVE SOME SURFACE RUST FROM CONDENSATION, THEY ARE FREE OF SOFT SPOTS AND DO NOT HAVE ANY ROT. THE FRAME RAILS ARE ALSO SOLID, FREE OF ROT AND ONLY HAVE SOME SURFACE RUST. THE INNER WHEEL WELLS ARE VERY SOLID AND DO NOT SHOW ANY RUST. I BELIEVE THE ROCKERS WERE REDONE SOME TIME AGO AS I DO SEE SIGNS OF IT IF YOU REALLY LOOK, BUT THEY HAVE HELD UP WELL AND NOW DO NOT SHOW ANY SIGNS OF RUST.

Looks like possibly the same car with some rust repair and paint. The driver seat has the same tear.
NOT MINE - 1973 green NYB 2dr in NJ (+ two other 4dr fusie Chryslers)

I think you are right. The engine bay pics and the photos showing a crack at the mid-bottom of the driver's door armrest look eerily similar (after adjusting for the engine bay cleanup). Nice catch!

PS: if the cars are one and the same, then the representation of the paint/metal is arguably misleading. Look at the rusty lower rear quarters in the link to my Jan. 2021, helpfully provided above by @Rustyrodknocker
