1973 imperial radio removal

Quick question, if the radio ever requires repairs, does the dash need to come out?
Seems ok for now, but we weren't sure - guess it's all in the manuals we have in the trunk.

No, the radio can be removed from under the dash. If the car has A/C the lower air duct has to be removed first, but that's just one tiny screw holding it in place.
