The once ubiquitous low mileage 1973 Monaco has popped up for sale again in Palm Springs.

This time, it's on Hemmings. Apparently Hemmings has auctions now....

The seller is a member of a local car club down there and is a collector that rotates stock occasionally.

The previous selling history on this car can be found in the locked thread linked below:

For Sale - 1973 Dodge Monoco Brougham E-Bay

Who's next? I feel like a cigarette should be smoked after this one gets passed around again, haha.....

Usually after an unsuccessful flip the price keeps going down. With a cracked dash, body damage and a failing vinyl top this is certainly not a premium show car. 400cid 2BBL is not a very desired option, especially in '73 because all the emission stuff made them run like crap. If someone actually paid $15k for this car and later sold it for $14k that was still well more than this car is worth in its present condition. It is a nice looker though, just way overpriced.

In 29k miles, the driver's seat cushion was replaced, the engine bay grease pencil markings were painted over, the condenser fins are bent, the A/C compressor, and some parts in the engine compartment were replaced (no sticker on top). I see many low mileage vehicles, and occasionally buy them. This one is pretty, but someone painted things in the engine bay, bent the fins and installed a black GM pre-heater hose. It's typically silver in Chrysler products. Plus, the right side of the brake pedal should not be worn at 29k miles. The paint inside the air cleaner snorkel should not be flaking away.

It's probably not 129k, but it doesn't look like 29k. It probably had vinyl seat covers when new.

Also has (note rebuilder tag) rebuilt master cylinder, radiator hose clamps and belts are after market. Also looks like whoever did the R-134a conversion may not have installed the correct updated service ports. Blue over spray on EGR valve and PCV grommet. Color on voltage regulator cover appears off, but that could be the lighting.

There are lots of things. Here's another:
Somebody didn't properly affix the aftermarket 400 CI engine sticker. They didn't even line it up right:

It's crooked, and peeling. It's also amazing how the paint inside the air cleaner snorkel is flaking away, but not outside. There are lots of things wrong with the 29k mile claim on this car.
You just have to look closely at the pictures, especially under the hood.

I was simply commenting on the not straight verbiage . They're frequently not straight.
