There is some misinformation in the listing that is expected from your typical flipper.
I'm not getting warm fuzzy feelings about this car or the listing but it may have a happy ending for someone appreciative of these 74/75 Imps.

I don't see a reserve in the auction. Someone is going to get a nice car at a good price!

Parts car??? I'll admit I don't like the cloth seats, but that would be cool to have!

Didn't we discuss this car once before in another thread? I remember lots of criticism on the color change from the original yellow / Fawn due to being a low number car. Maybe it's just me. Lol, Beautiful car none the less..

Yep.....one of the rarest Formal's ever made.

Also has the wrong interior in it too.

Gents,

I am considering pulling the trigger on this one. (as if I need another Imperial), Stan, what are your thoughts on why you say there is some misleading information and why the wrong interior? I have a 74 Imperial that I bought in New Mexico, which has the original leather interior. (white) I can swap interiors and have seats.

Thoughts?

Not Stan...

What it should be...74 Imperial Lebaron crown coupe
Prior marketing attempts...For Sale - Imperial LeBaron Crown Coupe - $14900 (Columbus)
For Sale - Chrysler Imperial LeBaron Crown Coupe - $8500
Too many black 1974 Imperials in Florida...
For Sale - Today's 1974 Formal Fishing Trip on CL

The car is currently at $3400 if that fits with your budget sure... enjoy. Oh and please get it TF out of Florida... ruining the the place for black 74's.

If it were going cheap enough, I am so tired of seeing this one for sale, I was going to try maybe $1500 and see if I could ship it to WA and see if I could have it cut into a convertible by a 1974 Imperial specialist I know out that way. I know, the car is probably too nice for that, but since it has been ruined from ever being "one of 57" again... I was starting to think "why not".

BTW, heads up on this transaction... it appears as if the seller has changed. I can't prove it, so don't ask (well ask, but prepare to be unsatisfied). The guy selling this car for the longest time appeared to be an older fella with health problems who was moving to Florida, IIRC his name was Larry (not positive). The current seller "Jovan or Susan" does not appear to be the same person, and has a zero feedback.

Read it all, there are lots of clues as to the problems you might find with this car/transaction.

It is still a very rare car.

Only 57 "Crown" Formal's ever made.

57 anniversary cars in golden fawn for 1974... a popular ever after roof treatment Crowns in 75 and St Regis thereafter.

This car needs a set of these...:BangHead:

Yes, I understand, the Fawn color kind of makes me want to gag, I have always owned black cars, which is why I am drawn to the car. So, I may go for it anyway. Maybe I will do the convert. conversion on my 74. It needs a new vinyl top (don't they all?), so maybe a convertible top! Please post or PM me your contact in WA. Thanks a lot for your remarks and all of your research on the car!

The contact was more of an inside joke meant for another, if he looks in here.

As much as I have disliked the endless advertising on this car, I don't hate the color change... if well done I'd be fine with it, but would be unlikely to EVER mention the anniversary connection. If I had a 3rd bay in the garage, I'm just stupid enough I would have reached out to the owner by $6500 just to establish a dialogue. This one seems to have deteriorated enough, or lacked initial quality in the first place (look at the "puffiness" of those recovered seats)... I'm thinking a true $2500 car here that is trying to cash in on what it was before the color change... and it is unlikely to ever payoff to turn her back.

The current seller, who I am certain isn't the same person as a few months ago when the lowest price advertised was $6500, if a flipper is no way going to accept a loss this early in the game. With a zero feedback, there is nothing to lose here... for them, the BS about legally binding contracts would require you to seek out and prove the seller's identity to even try. It is extremely unlikely to work in any case.

I have the whole fraud thing going on in my mind, but who knows... maybe there is hope and I'm all wrong. At least I warned any bidders here.
