Recently some chatter about the way we treat sale ads was brought to my attention. FWIW @hemi71x I have no issue with you. I have also plugged in your CL ads from time to time when I spotted your work for sale there and was posting Formal finds.
Blasting, painting, and rebuilding these brake parts may not be rocket surgery... but finding good cores to start with is pretty tough (nearly impossible, especially on the east coast).
If I was in desperate need, I'd buy the rears from you. The fronts are still available at this time(other than the spindles). One of the best things about this place is members looking out for members. I believe your reaction to @Dobalovr was unwarranted, as he was trying to connect you to a well known hoarder of these parts (me). The down side is, I'm cheap and not in desperate need... plus I have the silly disease that would cause me to re-rebuild the hydraulic components just to set my mind at ease.... I am not trying to slight your workmanship.
As for price... what's fair? There is a pair of used rear rotors that is probably still on EB, for $600... and the pics show some light rusting that would need cleaned up. Also you never know how parts like this get stored, they should be stored flat on a hard surface to prevent warping. I have far more faith in you storing them correctly than the OP.
There are a number of other members, besides me, who are loving their 74/75 Imperials and want to keep the rear discs in top operating condition. Yours may be a good solution for one of them. So the selling advice...
We active persons at FCBO are a small number, we chatter about everything and no thread is SUPPOSED to run on topic... if it does, nobody is reading it. We try to follow a guideline to not bash a member or their car (brakes), but that is not strictly adhered to in all cases when the seller is only in here for profit vs. love.
This is the place you will most likely find your buyer, or at least they will show up here eventually when their drum brake master cylinder doesn't work correctly with these... My best advice to you is to tolerate the comments and not dig into folks who are trying to help your sale. I'm betting there is someone who would buy these just so that idiot in Florida (me) doesn't buy them all.
