He's about an hour and 45 minutes from me. I might take a drive down there. The engine compartment is troubling..... I see rust where I shouldn't see rust on a 32K mile car.

No insult taken. It does look pretty close to my NYB.
One observation... he might have a nice steering wheel he doesn't know enough to show off, otherwise he is hiding the crack. At least this one won't need the wiper bushing mod...:poke:

For posterity...

"1976 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham. Blue with a blue vynl top. Blue leather seats. 400 engine and drives like a dream. 32,000 miles. It has power seats, door locks and windows. Also has an am/fm 8 track radio. I would like $9,500. Cash only. You can see from the pictures that this car is in excellent condition. Also buyer picks up. Call for more information. This car spent 90% of it's life in Florida in a showroom. One small dent on the right rear door."

Most of the 76 NYB's came with 440's. He says it was in Florida most of its life. I'm thinking not because it has a 400 so it may be a California or high altitude vehicle. Seeing the emission system sticker would explain a lot on this car.

Another thing is that this car must be a late build 1976 (or a California car) to have ELB. Not many of the 1976 cars had ELB.

I always have trouble convincing people that LB was a mid year change in 76 and not a 1976 MY change.
Mopar guys look at my engine and always feel it necessary to say, "Oh, I see you got rid of the Leanburn. That's good."
I now just say, "Yah" and let it go because I'm tired of the following debate.
