1977 New Yorker Exhaust Manifolds that are interchangeable.

There is an exhaust Air Check Valve that goes from the bottom of the air cleaner to the rear of the right exhaust manifold.
The 440 will be getting a throttle body EFI system.
Is there something to block that port on the exhaust manifold off?
Also, Would I be better off getting exhaust manifolds from an earlier model. If so which model should I be looking for.
I am replacing the entire eshaust.

1976 is the same manifold without the opening machined in. If the retaining bolt breaks, (like 90% of them do, you can tap the large hole with a 1/2 x14 NPT tap and insert a plug. This is exactly what I am doing to my Newport.
