Some definitions had changed, although they still basically meant the same thing. The confusion surrounding D32 and 000 has been discussed often enough, likewise the wrong description "Build Date".
The big news is that 3 between the market code and the start of the sales codes. All I can say is that it must be assembly plant-specific, because 1979 Dodge Magnum fender tags from Windsor don't show anything in that position.
