Hey all - I saw this on the road near my place... thought it may be of interest to some. I can check it out for more thoroughly if anyone wishes it - just pay a little for my time...

I believe this is a 1980 or 1981 Cordoba. It has the fake 'vert top, blue velour interior, Super Six engine, power windows, NO AC.

High miles (over 200,000 Kilometres, which works out to about 150,000 miles), but looks to be well cared for. Needs some TLC in terms of weather stripping and sprucing up. Looks like the rear bumper surround was either replaced or badly repainted... judge for yourself from the pics.

The 2bbl carb borrowed from the 318,no Lean-Burn and larger exhaust gave the Super Six an extra 10 HP,up from 100HP of the single barrel base slant.
Still hardly enough to get this J body out of a paper bag.
This era of slants were plagued with stalling issues,EGR valves and vacuum amplifiers were always trouble.
One of the reasons the slanty was killed because did not fair well with all the smog garbage equipment.

I always liked the fake convertible top that covered the C pillar window style. But make mine a 318,thanks,LOL!!

My father and I test drove a slant 6 Cordoba back around 1984. It was a pretty car, but the engine was a deal killer. It was the standard grill, non carriage top model in burgundy with a burgundy cloth interior. It wasn't a stripper and had power windows, locks, etc, but the original owner was obviously fuel mileage conscious. Instead we bought the green '78 NYB a little while later.

Just remembered: The car we were replacing was a wrecked 1981 Olds Delta 88 with a 3.8 V6, and the Cordoba was a slug compared to the Olds, which was a slug itself.

Are them side pipes real or just for show? Kind of overkill for a 2bbl /6!

And here's another misguided use of white shoe "polish" for the for sale "sign"

Lol!! I know!!

I don't know about the side pipes - they have a logo on them from a local performance muffler shop so they probably are hooked up... I didn't hear it run nor inspect that closely, as I was in a hurry!

It must be taking half the available power to run that alternator at full charge.

So there's a line up of Mopars that are worth less then our C bodies???
