2660219 Turn signal cable

Good Morning All (Nine days to Carlisle)
I am toying with the idea of installing a tilt column in the 'Party Barge' ('65 Newport).
As these are one year only columns parts are not easy to locate (which to me is half the fun on doing it),
Anyway, I located a column w/steering wheel for $200. What is unknown at this time is condition of the turn signal cable.
I believe that these columns were produced by GM. Does anyone know if a GM cable can be used?
The cable for a Chrysler (Part# 2660219) only appears for Chrysler. The Dodge/Plymouth versions show a different part number.
If a GM cable will work, a part number or length would be appreciated.

Thanks for the link and the video. Very Informative.
I hadn't taken in account that the steering wheel splines would be different.
The switch looks very similar to the T/S in my '66 GTO tilt column - may be a parts source.....
