I love my poly Engine. In -79 i buy my 1"a American built car a Plymouth Satelitte -65, whith an 318 poly Engine thats been bored 030 and all new inside. And this Engine just goes and goes and goes, and i love it. I Think this is the best Engine that Ma Mopar ever build, but thats only my opinion and many of you dont agree. Byt i love it anyway end its newer let me down or give my problem. Now i own a Polara -67 also whit a 383, and i hope that will work just nice as the 318 has =)

It will run as long as any /6 or 318.
Even after the rear main seal starts to leak.

I once had a 318 LA motor that had that problem...and bad thrust bearing to boot, and still it ran and ran and ran......eventually fixed thrust bearing and sold the car.

The 318 Poly is/was before my time, but all the old farts I know say they were bullet proof. Same with the 383 big blocks. I have a ton of experience with the LA motors and they are very durable. Cubic inch to cubic inch, a SBM will whip a SBC in my opinion......it will just cost more to do so. LOL
