    I can't believe it.

Ten years ago these were still on the shelves for 35 bucks

Cool Matt, I have three of these for a 69 C body. One intact and two that need some repair. I hate selling on ebay but maybe I should try my luck.

FYI, 69 is one year only and no one is reproducing these. I know I paid a premium for a nice one.

At the moment 102 USD which makes it a steal. I paid 150 for mine not long ago.

I found an NOS one on a table at Carlisle. I quickly set it back on the table at $675.00. I may have gone 250-300 but since it is an unnecessary piece I absolutely dont need it. washer bottle.jpg

Out of curiosity... has anyone come up with a process to clean these bottles and restore the plastic to something closer to the original? I used orange hand cleaner with lanolin on mine seemed to help but....

You should get more for that one year only piece Will.
I don't sell much on eBay either but for some parts it is one of the better venues.

Somebody recently mentioned muriatic acid recently but I'd try that on a junk part first. I'd be afraid of hastening the breakdown of the plastic.

Has anyone tried the headlight lens cleaners out now? I'm wondering if that would work, same issue, yellowed plastic but I'm assuming it has a lot to do with the type of plastic being cleaned.

That may have been me Matt. I've used it and it works. Think about it, muriatic acid comes in plastic containers.

The yellowing is mostly inside the washer bottle so you need to pour a good amount into it and slosh. I don't feel the need to mention how careful one needs to be when doing this. Lots of protection, gloves, goggles and a well ventilated area. It will come out almost like new.

Murray Park said he was in the early stages of repoping the 69's but it would be a long way down the road. He saw mine at Carlisle and said he'd be back to get them, must have go busy as he never showed.

Here are two 69's that I have. One needs the filler neck repaired. the other is intact. The third one needs the mount hole where the motor fits repaired.

Lol! It does in fact come in a plastic container now that I think about it...:realcrazy:
In my own defense it has been a very long time since I've even looked at a bottle of muriatic and it's been 30 years since I worked in a hardware store.
