Hi Guys,
I have a 69 Newport that was originally a 383 2 barrell. The previous owner installed a 4 barrell Holley. I just had the A/C compressor rebuilt and it is blowing cold, which is great. Problem is when the A/C goes on the idle goes really low to the point of cutting the engine off. Works fine if I put it in neutal and give it gas, however. I have been told that there should be something (solenoid, etc.) on the carb to kick the idle up on the carbeurator when the air is on. Can anyone shed some light on this and/or what I need to do to remedy this?
Thanks,
Pete
