If I didn't have my 69 Fury and had to choose another make ,I think Pontiac could very well be it. A 4 speed to boot! This one seems to need work and is priced too high to me but it sure is cool.

Edit!! Didnt read the description, true survivor ,original paint and matching numbers,4 speed ,price is not out of range.

    Nice looking Gran Prix.
    I'm with you there.
If I was ever forced over to the dark side(General Motors) it would probably be Pontiac.

eight lugs, 4 speeds, 389. wow. $14K is tall, even if could do grand less maybe i'd be out.

I do want it but can't have it. :(

    nice car.

Eons ago, my Dad wanted this year/4 speed GP, but Ma wouldn't let him have the Goat tripower (which we did have) and this one (which we did not). they had fights about it -- couple nights in the doghouse and there was no GP til '71 :)

Pete K's got a fine '69 check it out.

non-Mopar, my '69 Pontiac Grand Prix finally out

In terms of styling GM should have kept Oldsmobile and Pontiac and dumped Chevrolet.

That’s what I’m talking about, style and performance! Such a beautiful Pontiac.

If you're fan of fullsize Mopars you automatically have a soft spot for fullsize models of other makes. The 65 - 67 fullsize Pontiacs are beautiful, also the 68 Mercury Marauder and some years of the Lincoln Continental are appealing to me.
What I like about those fullsize Pontiacs are the performance oriented options, like the Tri-Power set up and floor shifted manual transmission that were available on almost every fullsize model

Thank you Matt!!i love it but w/o eyes on it i would not touch a rust belt car. love the 65-70 full size ponchos and the 69-70 full size buicks, they are among my fav non-mopars.
So how far are you from Ypsilanti?

He might be over-extended now with those bus purchases.

    yup...

    Capture 71.PNG

one of the few things my Dad always wanted/had (the '64 tri power goat, the '56 Desoto, and the '58 Merc Turnpike Cruiser) that I never bought, and its right in my backyard.

alas I am just too old, plus the buses.

ah, if I could throw a 1969 edition "Salmon P. Chase" at it tho...... here's to hoping its gone before the Xanax script runs out.:)

I always liked that year big Poncho. Looks pretty straight with great potential.
Those gorgeous body lines deserve a show quality repaint in that color.

no sir. only knew that denomination cuz of my grad school dorm was named after the guy.

by '70-71 (thereabouts) they were discontinued. never seen one in the green so to speak -- probably any out there are only in the hands of collectors.

but I imagine today i buy this car 10 times over if i had a real one one.

This coming from a slabbie, but the 63/64 GP has always been one of my favorite cars, before they rounded out in 65. In the early 60s my dad worked at a Pontiac Buick dealership. I owned a couple Canadian ponchos, which were largely chevies with a Pontiac body, but the 64 GP 421 4 spd 8 lug was the ultimate, and still is right up there.

I only have two Pontiacs left these days. '76 Lemans coupe - the "Enforcer" - police car and this '67 LeMans (326-4V, two-speed auto) we are working on.

Another thread here has me afraid to go near this thing with my Harbor Freight 3-ton jack stands. Been leaving the floor jack in place as long as I can remember for safety.
