4 Speeds in 1966

Of course they did. 3 speeds and 4 speeds. I own a 4 speed 1966 C body.

Laurence (a member here I think?) has a 3 speed column shift 2 door 66 Newport in Alberta.

I have a 4 on the floor '66 as well. Maybe they meant no Hurst shifted 4 speeds in '66?

One of One? Why do I despise that claim?

According to the 66 Chrysler data book 3 spd manual was std on 300 & Newport and 3 spd auto extra cost. No 4 spd. Categories left to right NY, 300, Newport, T&C.

Cool car. I think that 3 on the tree that was up in Penn might have been a better bet, price wise.

Well now... maybe I am gonna git tutored on this!

I have to admit I shot off my mouth earlier, going only the hearsay that they were available... people often say my 66 Dodge Monaco is a fake until they see it.

It was only Chrysler that didn't have the 4 speed option in 66, Dodge and Plymouth still did. Really strange since they were basically the same cars.
