413 exhaust manifold discoloration

1965 413. Got probably 100 miles on this NOS manifold, this white discoloration just happened. Running a stock edlebrock performer, haven't monkeied with jetting yet, am I rich/lean? What caused this?

I think that is probably nothing to worry about. There is usually some rust preventative on the manifolds so that they do not rust on the shelf and that has started to burn off. The whole thing will eventually turn the whitish color if the car is driven often.

Its just burning off whatever was on that manifold.

Go for a drive in the dark and see if it is turning orange there. Isn’t that the center where 2 ports are?
