This 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500 2-door hardtop (chassis 3J66Z165189) is set up in the style of a period Super Stocker and is powered by a 390 V8 with dual quads on an Offenhauser manifold. It is a factory black on black car that runs and drives well but needs a paint job, as the seller says it has pimples all through the finish, as well as misc scratches and chips. The seller calls it a nice 10-footer with straight panels that has the 427 lightweight attitude and a 4-speed on the floor. It is now available in Portland, Oregon for $16,500.

I love those mid sizes fords of the '60s!

Ummm... Matt, the Galaxies were full sized.
You're thinking of the mid-sized Thunderbolts.

Mid, full, love them both! There was nothing bigger then the Galaxie?

That is nice Fred, thanks. I'm surprised to see the freckling on the chrome, it may be largely unrestored although he did say it was reupholstered. Are those turn signal indicators at the front of the fenders? Whatever they are, they're to small and look funky, otherwise the car is killer.

I'll take the Marauder......nothing like a meaty full size car.......it's a driver. Did you guys notice that the oil pressure gauge needle is missing (or appears to be)? The door panels don't look that great either IMO but you know how tough it is to get something non-pony done to fact spec nowadays.

I like the Fords too but those bulge hoods totally turn me off

now all I need is another 10K

The 63 Ford full sizers were among my favorites, 61 I even like better.
