Anyone done a 4sd conversion on a 65 fury? I'm still learning about C bodies (know a lot more about A and B bodies). Anything peculiar?

Hard to find clutch pedals/linkages, trans is a flanged output vs splined.

I'm going to need a new drive shaft anyhow.

Finding a ball and trunnion driveshaft is gonna be a tough one. May be easier to fight with putting a later splined output trans in it even though it's too long - engine has to be lifted or rear torsion bar crossmember dropped out to remove the trans in place if you use a later model unit. (Speaking from experience here, first time I did a 65 Polara I used parts and trans from a 69 Road Runner, second time I used the correct transmission.)

I swapped in a 440 and a 4 speed into a 66 /6 3 on the column Fury.
65's are a pain in the *** because of the motor mounts and the tranny. Just that much more work.
What are you starting with and what are your mechanical skills.

Mechanical skills are good. It was a big block car, but I'll fab mounts. Splines Trans is likely with a custom driveshaft.

Right now only the Trans is in the car, no motor. It has the passenger side mount, but missing the driver side.

If needs be, I can weld up a mount. I do have access to another car. Putting a 318 poly in.
