So looking at the headliner in my 65 4dr hard top, the thread came out on one panel. I could easily repair this, or am I fighting a losing game and just replace the whole thing now? The material itself is in good shape as far as I can tell. Same thing happened to the visor and I intend to repair those.

I was fighting a losing battle since my headliner actually shrunk over time.

How did you repair the visors?

I will restitch them... or more accurately my wife will. We have an old singer licensed sewing machine (a royal) that can punch through a quarter inch of leather that we use for stuff like that. All the material is still there, just the threads have come out.

Regarding shrunk material... I'm wondering if that's what I will run into on that one loose seam. I guess I can try.

I would go ahead and replace, pretty cheap and easy job and you will be constantly repairing it otherwise.
