I had the same problem in my '66. After removing the regulator from the door, I shot WD40 and silicone grease into the 'brake' area (these regulators have a brake-type mechanism, it's the 1-1/2" dia cylinder on the crank handle's shaft) and finally got the thing to move both up and down but the brake is still very tight. I'm not sure how to fix it. There are three small rivets that hold the brake assembly to the main plate but if you attempt to drill out the rivets, the heavy spring needs to be relaxed first...The driver side front won't roll down.

I have a 66 fury II 4 door would that work.
i have only got 1 door opened but have rolled windows down, i little tight car had been setting a very long time.
