Looking to replace the radiator in my 66 Newport and possible a fan setup. What are my best upgrade options?

Why do you feel you need an upgrade?

Have you changed the freeze plugs in the block AND cleaned out those water passages?

How are you determining "over heating"?

Just curiouis.

recently been having a lot of cooling issues which has led close to overheating. Have had it boiled out once before and not sure if it's worth trying it again.
I know of a good radiator shop north of Syracuse if you are anywhere in the area. You might be able to add a core with more rows.

Competition radiators in Central Square. (315) 676-3790 He's a one person shop, but he turns them around fast.

I have not changed the freeze plus nor cleaned the water passages. Should look into that as the car was sitting outside a barn for a long time. Just been looking based on temp gauge, last drive was the worst when a lot of smoke started to appear around 250 degrees.
