68 Chrysler transmission OEM dipstick length?

Would someone please confirm the length of the 727 transmission dipstick, BB application.
When I purchased my Newport, it did not have a trans dipstick, only the filler tube which I believe to be original. I'm currently using a dipstick from Summit racing but, I don't trust the accuracy, and have nothing to reference.
I need to know the length from the end, where you take readings , to the contact point where it rest on top of the filler tube.
I just got my transmission back from the builder and want to confirm this dimension. Thanks.

From the round metal piece under the rubber seal it’s 16 1/4” to the full line.

Confirmed 16-5/16" from full line to metal retainer. So....I'd have to say it's ok assuming the filler tube is original to the vehicle which I would have to confirm.

A Chrysler transmission engineer once told me that the tube and stick HAVE to match. Which only makes sense.

Check with Retroman, I bought one from him, tube and dip stick, for my 68 300. Worked pertectly.
