WANTED 68 Imperial headlight scanner

I need the stalk, wiring to connector and sensor.

Sits on cowl vent between the wiper arms...

I have seen that option in that era but on more Lincolns than Imperials. I have that option on my '59 Imperial and I think it was the first year for it.

That's going to be a tough find. It's a one year only item and the scanner base is Imperial only. Beam changer was also available on Chrysler, but since the cowl is different, it uses a different base. I think the scanner in the color photo with the rubber gasket on the base is for a GM car. Along with the Twilight Sentinel system, the auto dimmer was made by GM.


Imperial scanner sits down in cowl grooves.

Chrysler scanner has flat base.

And in ‘67 it was mounted inside on the dash. I have one of those and I’m guessing Murray likely has the one you’re looking for.

I found a scanner today from a 1968 Imperial. I might have the other parts, I have several boxes of 67 - 68 Iperial parts that have been sitting on the shelf for 25 years or so. I didn't have time to dig thru all the boxes today.
