Any advice on how best to make this upgrade to tilt? I found a used 68' New Yorker tilt column for sale. Will this fit? The seller claims turn signal switch is toast. Anyone have a good working column for sale? Thanks in advance.

It will bolt right in. However there are a few things you'll need.

For one you will need the correct steering wheel and telescope release/lock clamp mechanism. A standard wheel does not work with this column. As well, you need to make sure the lock rod which is integral to telescope mechanism is present. Often falls out and gets lost.

Because this is an AC Delco (GM) sourced column, there may be a special jumper harness which goes between the column's turn signal harness GM style terminal and the Mopar dash turn signal harness. I don't know if this is actually the case in a 68 T&T column, but definitely is part of a 66 T&T column, and maybe 67s too.

The whole turn signal thing is a bit of a bugger too, as the 68 column has the new for 68 collapsing feature, and the turn signal switch/cancelling cam and all its wiring is all in the column, while for 66/67 only the cancel cam stuff is in the column while the actual switch is cable actuated and sits down at the bottom of the column. The 68 turn signal switch assembly is much more difficult to replace therefore.

For the price requested it's not the greatest deal IMO...
