just bought a 69 300 and the flashers are not working. The blinkers and brakelights all work correctly but when i flip the flashers - NOTHING. To troubleshoot this does it require removing the dash? i dont see another way to get to the switch to see if it even has power. Thanks for any help I am new to this c- body thing and am sure i will be posting alot in the weeks and months to come. It may just be a realy but wanted to check on the best way to get to the switch before taking the whole dash out.

Check the fuse and flasher...... OH....... Did I mention you need a factory service manual....?

Welcome to the site...... And we require pictures of your car here.....!

Until you get a factory service manual.....turn on the turn signals and listen where the noise of the flasher is coming from. I suspect the flasher for the flashers are on the fuse panel or hanging next to it. Feel with you fingers which one is clicking with the turn signals, then the other one is the one you need to focus on. Before you buy one swith the one that works for the turn signals with the one for the flashers......does the flashers work now? if so switch the two flashers back around to the original location, keep the bad one out or write down the number for the auto parts store. Most of the time the problems will be in the flasher.

Yes I will get on finding a service manual ASAP and uploading some photos of my car as well. Thank you all for your help.
