'69 300 windshield question

I'm researching replacing the windshield and as I'm not in the shop at the moment to look for myself, my question is :

Does a '69 300 have a gasket or does it use butyl tape ?

If tape, 3/8" or 5/16 " ?

It doesn't use a gasket. I'm no help with the size.

The last windshield I had professionally installed by someone who specializes in classics used a combination of two tape thicknesses (I can't recall which ones) and urethane. He said that the new windshields aren't a perfect fit and require a few dry fits (tape on the glass, paper still on one side of the tape) then urethane to do properly. Car was a '71 Newport hardtop which should be the exact same as yours, as I don't believe there was a '69 300 sedan.

The goo always gets 'er done. That's what most would do. I think the guy I brought it to incorporated the tape in an effort for originality.
