Howdy! Looking for right hand side mirror for a 1970 Chrysler New Yorker, part # 2999-004. Picture borrowed from another member's post from a few years ago. Thanks!

Here‘s the one with the base numbers. I found that these are elusive and there are at least two different bases. There is one that was factory installed with the two posts through the door and the other is a dealer installed accessory with the screw mount from the outside.

the part number on the base is not the number for the mirror....it is a casting number
Correct, but I’ve found that since not many know the actual part number, they list the casting number in for-sale ads, I’ve found a few listed with that number.

True! It helps if you have both the casting #, the service # from the part book, AND superseded #s to track down stuff..........
