So did you drive the military tank too? How did it handle compared to your c-body tank?
I drove the Sherman, my buddy drove the Leopard. Sherman drives like a 1940's Tractor, no A/C, fuel mileage about the same, my "Tank" is a little bigger. lol

The car was great, most everything is new of course. 69 Chrysler 300 back where it belongs. A/C blew 40F-45F all day long.
We'd be driving and just start laughing thinking about what we were sitting in. Just an awesome road trip. The best part was all of the positive attention we got everywhere we stopped and there were a lot of stops. We bought gas about every 80-100 miles (approx 1/2 tank). Had to plan mileage versus distance between gas stations in most of Texas. A lot of small towns only have 1 gas station, if they're broke or closed it can be "too far" to the next town.

Good to see you got it out on the road after all the work you did on it. Congrats!

Thanks for the pictures and report! I can hear you for sure. These cars are made for lang trips and I have to say, I never drove a car more comfortable than my 1969 New Yorker. No modern car is able to keep up with it!

Wow . Cool trip and great views along the way. Great looking ride! Congrats

8 MPG ... ok... Now i know why my 71' 383 2bbl is an economy version haha

It's a 505ci with 3.23's, it CAN get 5mpg if you're having FUN. :D
