Reckon this one was for sale a year or two ago:

1969 Chrysler Imperial for Demo or Restoration. No motor or Tranny. California car. No rust. Solid car. $2,000 OBO

Isn't that the car that was bought at an estate auction with another one? I seem to remember a guy on here talking about having done so a couple of years ago.

Advertizing any rust free C-body as "For Demo".. makes me sick.. a coupe Imperial, makes me angry !

Imagine how it looked, when it rolled out of the plant, all "B3" and shiny chrome.. :wtf:

Iirc it was rock solid.

I think, that what he wrote, was: "You can eat off the floors".. :-(

He also wrote at some point, that he had a pristine black interior for it, and if that is correct, it still has a chance at life..

Could be fun to swim against the stream, and pull the crazy 440 from my Charger (which is not original to the car), and stick it in this "desert-baby".. (and buy a stock 440 for the Charger, which I've been wanting to do for quite a while).

Imagine the "stop light surprises" one would experience, cruising in a 550 HP Imperial, rat-desert-style.

I still think that a late model engine/trans would be a great combo for a car like this.

Do it Kasper!

Tried to text him already.. will follow up on it.. ;-)

For:
I'd love every second of it
Imperial "desert-baby" would survive, and recieve it's deserved attention
Many young boys, in annoying small crappy cars, would learn a thing or two abt real power, at stoplights

Against:
I seriously don't have the space..
I fear that this "dried up thing", if left outdoor, will immediately suck humidity, into every nook and cranny, and start to rust
I would have to buy "specialty plates" for it ~ "DESERT RAT", and them things are expensive..

Let's see what he replies.. :icon_fU:
