1970 Dodge Polara, 2 door hardtop, 318 auto, runs great. This car had sat for some years. When I got it, I pulled the gas tank and radiator and had them cleaned. I also installed a new carburetor, water pump, all new hoses, etc.. She fired right up and runs good. The interior has been redone and is in good shape. The worst thing it needs is paint. The tires are old but hold air. The body is very straight. Floor boards are good and the trunk is not rusty. I will consider trades. No PayPal, No shipping, no personal emails given.

Dashboard and seat push/pull lever look very weathered compared to other bits. Front and rear bumpers look beautiful compared to the rest of the body. 2-speed wiper so suspect low-optioned car. More photos would help.

PS: Where is there water bottle?

Last time I figured it was about 22 mpg. It is all stock 2bbl Carter and highway gears.

Same here (rebuilt original carb) yet on the first 100 miles I put on the car after its refurb I got something like 12 mpg only. The idle was set too high, so I will see how it goes this weekend after adjustment.

In related matters, do you sometimes have issues filling the tank up? Mine does not seem to take more than about 11-11 gallons.

I think mine takes more than that but still it's hard to fill. It may have to do with the new pumps and their shut off sensors. Also the filler being at the same level as the top of the tank. I put my ear down and listen as it is getting near full and try to trickle the last bit in. I'd be cautious about putting too much in because if you get a sudden temperature rise gas will spill back out. Don't ask me how I know.

Bummer.

Thank you. I knew about the spill, now I know why. Don't ask me how I know after just two fill-ups, either
